Heavy Rains from the Plains to the East; Fire Weather Risk in the Desert Southwest

Thunderstorms, some severe, may produce heavy to excessive rainfall and isolated flooding over portions of the Southern Plains through Saturday. Widespread showers and thunderstorms will spread east into the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, Mid Atlantic and Northeast. Sunny Today with Increasing Clouds on Monday

Sunny and warmer conditions can be expected today. Scattered snow showers will develop over the higher terrain later today into this evening. Warmer temperatures are expected on Monday with increasing clouds and breezy conditions by the afternoon. This next system will bring areas of light snow to mountain locations Monday night into Tuesday with drier conditions returning on Wednesday.
