Heavy Snow in the Northwest; Wintry Mix from the Great Lakes to Northeast

Two cold fronts will pass through the Northwest U.S. this week with the main impact being heavy mountain snow across the Cascades, and northern Rockies. Today (Wednesday, February 27th) between 8 am and 5 pm,

the Montrose NOAA Weather Radio (KXI-90 on this map) will intermittently lose audio.

The outage will be intermittent during the time listed above due to state technicians cutting over to the upgraded microwave line. This outage will affect the Montrose, Delta, Gunnison and Ouray listening areas. The map below shows the approximate area of outage.
