Heavy Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorm Threats; Heat Risk Expands; Monitoring the Tropics

Flash flooding risks continue for portions of the Four Corners and Great Basin through today. Severe thunderstorms are outlooked from the eastern Great Lakes, southern New England into the mid-Atlantic through Tuesday. Today (Wednesday, February 27th) between 8 am and 5 pm,

the Montrose NOAA Weather Radio (KXI-90 on this map) will intermittently lose audio.

The outage will be intermittent during the time listed above due to state technicians cutting over to the upgraded microwave line. This outage will affect the Montrose, Delta, Gunnison and Ouray listening areas. The map below shows the approximate area of outage.
