Critical Fire Weather Conditions in the Southern Plains; Showers and Thunderstorms Linger Over Florida

Gusty winds and dry conditions will promote elevated to critical fire weather conditions across the southern Plains and southern Rockies. A cold front will linger over Florida through Tuesday, bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms, and potential flash flooding concerns. Today (Wednesday, February 27th) between 8 am and 5 pm,

the Montrose NOAA Weather Radio (KXI-90 on this map) will intermittently lose audio.

The outage will be intermittent during the time listed above due to state technicians cutting over to the upgraded microwave line. This outage will affect the Montrose, Delta, Gunnison and Ouray listening areas. The map below shows the approximate area of outage.
