Widespread High Wind Event; Heavy Snow Expected from the Northern Plains to Northeast

Widespread high winds will continue to impact the interior Northwest, northern Plains, and Upper Midwest. Gusty winds and low relative humidity will bring critical fire weather to the central and southern Plains and south coastal Texas today. Today (Wednesday, February 27th) between 8 am and 5 pm,

the Montrose NOAA Weather Radio (KXI-90 on this map) will intermittently lose audio.

The outage will be intermittent during the time listed above due to state technicians cutting over to the upgraded microwave line. This outage will affect the Montrose, Delta, Gunnison and Ouray listening areas. The map below shows the approximate area of outage.
