Pacific Storms Continue to Impact the Western U.S.; Severe Thunderstorms Forecast Saturday in the South

A series of Pacific storm systems will continue to impact the western U.S. into this weekend with periods of strong to damaging winds, high surf, heavy lower elevation rain, and heavy mountain snow. Skies will begin to clear and winds will gradually relax this evening behind today's cold front. Additionally, a significantly colder air mass will move into the area which will result in many areas likely dropping well below freezing by tonight and into early Wednesday.
