Strong Winds and Heavy Precipitation for the Northwest U.S.; Rain and Storms Along the Gulf Coast and Florida

An atmospheric river event continues for the Pacific Northwest into the northern Rockies with heavy precipitation and strong winds expected through Tuesday. Another storm system was tracking along the Gulf Coast and will cross the Florida Peninsula through Monday with occasionally heavy rain and thunderstorms. Cold and Dry Air in Place This Weekend

In the wake of the first strong winter storm of the season, very cold and dry air will remain over eastern Utah and western Colorado through the weekend and through much of next week.
