A storm system will continue to bring areas of heavy snow, gusty to high winds, and critical fire weather from the Sierras through the central and southern Plains through Friday. A locally critical fire weather threat will exit over a portion of the Mid-Mississippi Valley. The National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Forecast Office, Flagstaff, is happy to give group tours of our office in Bellemont. Afternoon tours may also have the opportunity to view a weather balloon launch! A tour group size is limited to a maximum of 20 persons due to space limitations at the forecast office.

A representative from the NWS Forecast Office will call or e-mail the tour contact to confirm the tour or, if needed, reschedule the tour if the requested date/time will not work.
Teachers: We have found that for younger weather enthusiasts, it is helpful for them to come to the tour prepared with some weather questions to ask. Of course, we encourage questions from all tour participants!
