Overview
After widespread rain showers on the morning on July 9, 2019, the sky cleared across the southern Red River Valley and west central Minnesota, priming the environment for severe weather. Several tornadoes, as well as heavy rainfall and some hail and damaging winds, were reported during the afternoon and evening hours.
