Overview

A late-season winter storm slowly moved northeast across the region on April 10 through 12th. Blizzard conditions hit the southern Red River Valley and adjacent areas during the day on Thursday, April 11th. With the Red River flooding and cresting in the central valley, area roadways where particularly dangerous as slide offs ended up in water-filled ditches and could have ended up in flooded rivers. See the tabs for the summary of this particularly late-season winter storm.
