Overview
Severe thunderstorms with large hail moved through the Devils Lake region on the evening of Thursday June 14 and the early morning hours of Friday June 15, 2018. Three tornadoes occurred with this activity, two in northern Towner county and one in western Cavalier county. A second round of severe thunderstorms developed over southeast North Dakota in the early morning hours of June 15th, mainly from Lisbon to the Fargo-Moorhead area. These storms also produced large hail.Tornadoes:
On the night of June 14, 2018, a severe thunderstorm produced three tornadoes in northern Towner County and western Cavalier County. This storm also had multiple reports of hail. The largest hail reported from severe thunderstorms in northeast North Dakota on this night was golf ball sized.
