Back-to-Back Winter Storms Across the North-Central U.S.; Severe Weather Threat in the Midwest

A late-season winter storm continues to bring heavy snow, significant sleet, and disruptive icing to the Upper Midwest and western Great Lakes into the morning; and will be followed by another storm. Dry and somewhat breezy conditions will result in elevated fire weather for Thursday and Friday afternoons. Min RHs of 10-25% are forecast each day with W-SW winds of 10-20 mph.
Dry through Saturday as a backdoor cold front arrives, bringing temperatures down to below normal into early next week. Easterly flow behind the front will increase moisture and provide most of the Borderland with a low chance of rain showers Sun-Tue. Temperatures rebound to above normal for the middle of next week.
