The Borderland continues with warm to hot weather and just enough monsoon moisture for more afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will continue to run 5-8 degrees warmer than normal. Some lowland locations will see another triple-digit afternoon. We expect more scattered storms over the area mountains by midday. Later in the afternoon isolated to scattered lowland storms will develop and continue into the evening hours.
The table above lists the chances for rain for local cities over the next 7 days. Rain chances overall will be increasing through the weekend into the first part of next week, before declining toward week's end. The best chance for rain and thunderstorms will be mountain zones and lowlands west of the Rio Grande. With the improved chances for rain will come somewhat cooler day time temperatures with afternoon highs closer to seasonal averages.
The area will see increasing rain chances as the week progresses, the best chance for rain will be Monday through Wednesday.
