A Continuation of Warm Temperatures

Another month of warm temperatures has gone by for Southeastern Michigan. The normal average temperature for Detroit is 73.5 F, Flint is 70.5 F, and the Tri-Cities is 71.0 F. So where do the Detroit, Flint, and the Tri-Cities areas now stand in terms of records? The tables below show the average temperature records for the month of July, the summer so far (June 1st through July 31st), and year-to-date (January 1st through July 31st).

Detroit ended up with an average monthly temperature of 79.0 F, making it tied for the 2nd warmest July on record. Flint had the 6th warmest July on record with an average monthly temperature of 76.1 F. The Tri-Cities averaged 76.4 F, ranking in as the 3rd warmest.
