1106 PM EDT Thu Jun 18 2026
Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.
.SYNOPSIS...West to northwest flow persists today in the wake of a low pressure
which is now located across the northeast US. A ridge of high
pressure, 29.90 inches, builds in late tonight through tomorrow
morning. This will reduce winds speeds and gust potential through
the weekend. The next low pressure system, 29.60 inches, will arrive
late Sunday into Monday morning, bringing renewed rain and
thunderstorm chances along with elevated winds speeds across the
southern Great Lakes.
