For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron
Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.
.SYNOPSIS...An elongated trough axis expands into the southern
Great Lakes late today. Aside from a few isolated showers, a more
active stretch of weather gets underway tonight into Wednesday as
low pressure, 29.50 inches, lifts across Lower Michigan. Expect
several rounds of showers and thunderstorms, including some
strong to severe storms. All severe hazards will be possible. The
system`s frontal passage eventually leads to a transition to
melting snowfall by Wednesday evening. Seasonably cool conditions
ensue Thursday, followed by more rain, snow, and wind with
another system on Friday.

sleet in the evening...then freezing rain likely...a chance of
snow and sleet after midnight. Waves 2 to 4 feet building to 6 to
9 feet. Waves occasionally around 12 feet.
.WEDNESDAY...East winds 20 to 25 knots becoming northeast 15 to
20 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Freezing rain likely
and a chance of sleet in the morning...then snow in the
afternoon. Waves 6 to 9 feet. Waves occasionally around 12 feet.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts to
around 30 knots. Waves 6 to 9 feet. Waves occasionally around
12 feet.
.THURSDAY...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming west 10 to
15 knots late in the morning...then becoming southeast 15 to
20 knots with gusts to around 30 knots late in the evening. Snow
likely late in the evening. Snow may be heavy at times late in
the evening. Waves 6 to 9 feet subsiding to 3 to 5 feet late in
the morning...then subsiding to 1 to 3 feet late in the afternoon
building to 4 to 6 feet late in the evening. Waves occasionally
around 12 feet.
.FRIDAY...East winds to 30 knots with gusts to 40 knot gales
backing to the north with gusts to 35 knot gales early in the
evening...then backing to the northwest by midnight. Snow likely
early in the morning...then a chance of snow early in the
evening. Snow may be heavy at times early in the morning. Waves
10 to 14 feet. Waves occasionally around 18 feet.
.SATURDAY...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to
15 knots in the late morning and early afternoon...then backing
to the west early in the evening becoming east 15 to 20 knots by
midnight. A chance of snow by midnight. Waves 6 to 9 feet
subsiding to 4 to 6 feet in the late morning and early
afternoon...then subsiding to 1 to 3 feet early in the evening
building to 4 to 6 feet by midnight. Waves occasionally around
12 feet.

30 knots becoming west 10 to 15 knots late in the morning...then
becoming south 15 to 20 knots late in the evening. Snow likely
late in the evening. Waves 10 to 14 feet subsiding to 3 to
5 feet. Waves occasionally around 18 feet.
.FRIDAY...Southeast winds to 30 knots becoming north at 35 knot
gales early in the evening...then becoming northwest to 30 knots
by midnight. Gusts to 40 knot gales. Snow and rain likely early
in the morning...then a chance of snow early in the evening.
Waves 12 to 16 feet. Waves occasionally around 19 feet. A gale
warning may be needed.
.SATURDAY...Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots decreasing to 10 to
15 knots in the late morning and early afternoon...then backing
to the southwest early in the evening becoming southeast 15 to
20 knots by midnight. A chance of snow early in the evening. A
