Overview
A stationary front draped over the Michigan-Ohio border on July 16th contributed to 1-3 inches of rainfall across Southeast Michigan, with some locally higher amounts reported. Heavy rain and urban flooding were reported across the metro Detroit area, particularly across Wayne County. During this event Detroit Metropolitan Airport observed 2.20 inches of rainfall, breaking the daily precipitation record for July 16th.
