Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) has been replaced by the National Water Prediction Service (NWPS)

The National Weather Service has introduced a new rivers and lakes observation and forecast website!

For more than two decades, the National Weather Service (NWS) delivered river observations and forecast products and services via the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS). This legacy system needed to be modernized to support newer innovation with technology and provide a more mobile-friendly user experience. On March 27, 2024 the NWS replaced AHPS with a new website, the National Water Prediction Service (NWPS). This new site can be viewed here: https:/water.noaa.gov/wfo/dtx
