Elevated to Critical Fire Weather Concerns and Strong Winds for the Central U.S.; Snow Across the Upper Great Lakes and Northeast

A strong clipper system will move southward across the Great Lakes and into the Northeast throughout the weekend. Strong winds are expected from the Plains through the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley, with the potential for any fires that initiate to spread rapidly due to dry conditions.
