Thunderstorms in the Pacific Northwest and Great Lakes; Dangerous Heat Persists Across the South; Critical Fire Weather Concerns in the West

Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible in parts of Kentucky, the Ohio Valley and Pacific Northwest Saturday. Strong winds and hail are the primary hazards. Dangerous heat stress will persist through the weekend over parts of the Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley. Despite the recent cool stretch of temperatures across the Northland, early November warmth has helped to bring a top 5 warmest November on record,  the below tables show the top 5 rankings for both Duluth and International Falls.  Duluth had the 2nd warmest November since records began in 1874.  International Falls reported the Warmest November since records began in 1897.
