Dangerous Cold and Gusty Winds Anticipated This Weekend

A significant arctic outbreak will bring frigid temperatures and dangerously cold wind chills to the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic this weekend. Strong winds which could produce tree damage and power outages, and periods of snow squalls are also possible. Severe Weather Spotters are a vital link in the timely and accurate flow of weather information into and out of weather forecast offices. Click here to learn more. Storm Spotter training is available to the public as conducted by the local NOAA/NWS Forecast Office on an annual scheduled basis.
