NWS Charleston, SC is responsible for issuing routine forecasts for the nearby Atlantic Ocean off the southeast South Carolina and northern Georgia coasts as well as for Lake Moultrie in Berkeley County, SC. Non-routine products and services for the Atlantic waters include warnings for strong thunderstorms, advisories and warnings for tidal flooding, and beach/rip current forecasts (spring through fall).
