Frost/Freeze Program Fall 2024, updated 10/11

...The Frost/Freeze Program will end today for southern Penobscot
County...

Frost and freeze headlines will no longer be issued this fall
season as of October 11th for southern Penobscot County. The
program will remain active until October 21st for Hancock County
and central and coastal Washington County.

We do appreciate that some farmers and gardeners may continue to
take protective measures. Farmers and gardeners can still refer
to the frost/freeze potential in our forecast products at
weather.gov/car until the frost/freeze season ends for all of
northern and eastern Maine on October 21st.
