A significant heat wave continues for the Rockies, Northern Plains, and Great Lakes into the Mid-Atlantic, peaking in intensity through midweek and lingering across parts of the Northern Plains and Midwest until this weekend. Looking Ahead to the Weekend

Today is the climatological peak of summer in our forecast area. It'll certainly feel like summer with daily high temperatures in the 90s. Barring a few showers in the CSRA, mainly dry weather is expected through Friday before rain chances return this weekend.
