...EXTENDED NOAA WEATHER RADIO OUTAGE IN THE AUGUSTA AREA... 
  
THE NOAA WEATHER RADIO ALL HAZARDS TRANSMITTER BROADCASTING FROM   
WRENS GEORGIA WAS DAMAGED DURING HURRICANE HELENE. THIS  
TRANSMITTER SERVES THE CENTRAL SAVANNAH RIVER AREA OF BOTH SOUTH   
CAROLINA AND GEORGIA, ALONG WITH AUGUSTA, GEORGIA. TECHNICIANS   
RECENTLY VISITED THE SITE WITH A DRONE AND HAVE FOUND CABLE DAMAGE  
UP THE TOWER AT THE SITE THAT WILL REQUIRE REPAIR AND/OR REPLACEMENT  
BEFORE THE BROADCAST CAN BE REESTABLISHED. THIS PROCESS LIKELY   
WILL TAKE A FEW WEEKS. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY  
CAUSE OUR LISTENERS.  
  
WITH THE WRENS TRANSMITTER OFF THE AIR, LISTENERS ARE ADVISED TO   
TUNE THEIR RADIOS TO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TRANSMITTERS AND  
ASSOCIATED FREQUENCIES IN ORDER TO CONTINUE TO RECEIVE WEATHER   
ALERTS FROM NOAA.
