Atmospheric River in the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies this Weekend

A Pacific storm and atmospheric river will impact the Pacific Northwest states and northern Rockies this weekend, bringing locally heavy low elevations rain and heavy high elevation snow in the mountains. ...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SURVEY TEAM CONFIRMS A TORNADO IN   
EDGEFIELD COUNTY...  
 
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CONDUCTED A STORM SURVEY IN EDGEFIELD   
COUNTY AND FOUND A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN APPROXIMATELY 3.5 MILES EAST   
OF EDGEFIELD TO 1.5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF JOHNSTON. RESULTS DETERMINED   
THAT AN EF-0 TORNADO INTERMITTENTLY TOUCHED DOWN NEAR TWO MILE ROAD   
AND MOVED NORTHEAST TO NEAR BLAND BAPTIST ROAD. NO DAMAGE TO   
STRUCTURES WERE OBSERVED...ONLY TREES DOWN. WIND SPEEDS WERE   
ESTIMATED TO BE AROUND 80 MPH AND THE PATH WAS ABOUT 3.5 MILES IN   
LENGTH AND ABOUT 50 YARDS WIDE.
