            MPH...DESTROYING SEVERAL MOBILE HOMES NEAR US HWY 76 AND 
            EAST BREWINGTON RD. ONE FATALITY OCCURRED AND SEVERAL 
            PERSONS WERE INJURED. THE TORNADO FIRST TOUCHED DOWN 
            ABOUT 9 MILES SW OF SUMTER AROUND 820 AM. THE TOTAL 
            LENGTH OF THE TORNADO TRACK WAS 14 MILES...AND THE WIDTH 
            OF DAMAGE WAS 300 YARDS. THE TORNADO DISSIPATED JUST NE 
            OF THIS LOCATION.

            TORNADO LIFTED NEAR TRAM ROAD ABOUT ONE HALF MILE NW OF 
            WELLS CHURCH ROAD.
