The National Weather Service office in Brownsville will be hosting a display during the 2011 Air Fiesta, sponsored by the Commemorative Air Force, Rio Grande Valley Wing. There are plenty of activities, and many things to see for kids of all ages at this year’s Air Fiesta. Aerobatics, re–enactments of World War II battles, and Fighter Fly–overs are just a part of the sights and sounds. This year, the B–2 Spirit Stealth Bomber is scheduled to make an flyover on March 12th, and an Air Force P–3 Orion will be on display. All are invited to stop by our booth, located in the RGV Commemorative Air Force Hangar located at 955 S. Minnesota Avenue, just south of the main terminal at the Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (click here for directions). Visit with local meteorologists, learn about aviation and tropical weather, and check out a weather balloon. Interactive displays will be available for all to enjoy and experience. Come on out and have fun with us!
