Light to moderate snow will continue into Saturday over the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast. This weekend into next week, a series of atmospheric rivers will bring gusty winds, periods of heavy rain, and mountain snow to northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Severe Weather and Safety Training, called SKYWARN, is free and open to the public.

There is no need to register. Sessions will last an hour and a half. Bring the family! Bring a friend! 

 

We'll have interaction with you on thunderstorm formation and storm hazards, flash floods, lightning,

tornadoes, hail and high wind. We'll tell you how to be prepared, and discuss storm structure, storm

strength and Watches and Warnings. See some neat pictures and cool video and learn to be Weather-Ready!
