Flash Flooding in the Mid-Atlantic and Southwest; Heat Persists in the Southern Plains

Isolated severe thunderstorms with damaging winds will be possible across several areas. Flash flooding is possible across portions of the Mid-Atlantic into the Northeast and Southwest into the Intermountain West. Dangerous heat will persist across the Southern Plains.
