TODAY, JUNE 23, 2023, METEOROLOGISTS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BISMARCK SURVEYED STORM DAMAGE FROM JUNE 21 ACROSS SIOUX COUNTY, THE STANDING ROCK NATION. AT EACH LOCATION VISITED THE EVIDENCE WAS THAT HIGH THUNDERSTORM WINDS RESULTED IN THE DAMAGE. AT ONE LOCATION INTENSE WINDS FROM A MICROBURST WITH WIND SPEEDS AROUND 125 MPH COMPLETELY DESTROYED A MANUFACTURED HOME AND INJURED ONE PERSON. WE SPOKE TO MANY PEOPLE TODAY AND EVERYONE WAS WELCOMING AND VERY HELPFUL IN ASSISTING US IN DETERMINING WHAT HAPPENED THE EVENING OF JUNE 21. PROPERTY HAD AN ANEMOMETER AND MEASURED 62 MPH AT WHICH POINT THE CUPS BROKE OFF. 1000 PM TSTM WND GST 6 S SELFRIDGE 45.96N 100.94W 06/21/2023 E70 MPH SIOUX ND NWS STORM SURVEY LARGE TREE BRANCHES WERE BROKEN. 1018 PM TSTM WND GST 6 ESE SELFRIDGE 46.01N 100.80W 06/21/2023 E125 MPH SIOUX ND NWS STORM SURVEY *** 1 INJ *** DAMAGE SURVEY REVEALED THAT A MICROBURST WITH WIND SPEEDS AROUND 125 MPH STRUCK THIS PROPERTY AND COMPLETELY DESTROYED A MANUFACTURED HOME WHICH ROLLED ONTO A VEHICLE CRUSHING THE ROOF AND PARTIALLY DAMAGING ANOTHER VEHICLE. PARTS OF THE HOME WERE BLOWN INTO A BARN, SEVERELY DAMAGING IT. THE DEBRIS PATTERN WAS DIVERGENT IN NATURE AND ORIENTED TOWARD THE E/SE. TWO PEOPLE WERE IN THE HOME AT THE TIME. ONE WAS INJURED AND HOSPITALIZED.
