Proposed Flood Stages for Taiya River near Skagway

On April 29, 2023, the National Weather Service (NWS) Forecast Office in Juneau, Alaska and the Alaska-Pacific River Forecast Center (APRFC) will be adjusting the moderate flood stage for the Taiya River in Southeast Alaska.

The updated moderate flood stage was set based upon observations of impacts around Dyea and along the Chilkoot trail part of the National Park Service.
