Rounds of rain across Middle Tennessee will impact the area late Wednesday through Sunday. The highest amounts will be across the northwest where amounts over 6 inches will lead to significant flooding.
Thunderstorms are expected to impact Middle Tennessee late today through early Thursday morning, and the greatest risk for severe weather is across the northwest corner of the area.
Non-thunderstorm winds will strengthen Wednesday across Middle Tennessee. Wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph may blow away unsecured outdoor objects, down trees and tree branches, and cause sporadic power outages.
With rounds of storms continuing over the next several days, the risk for severe weather also continues. There is a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) in place for most of Middle TN Thursday with all hazards possible.
