An approaching front will bring rain to the area as early as today for northern San Luis Obispo Co, spreading through most of the region into Saturday morning. Expecting mostly light rain with accumulations under 1 inch, except for the Santa Lucia Range and far northwestern San Luis Obispo County which could see totals in the 1-1.5 inch range. The second period of rain peaks around Monday/Tuesday, and has the potential to bring higher rainfall totals especially for San Luis Obispo County. Snow levels will be high, with no snow expected for mountains roadways and passes through Saturday night. Mountain peaks could see a dusting at times. The main impacts will be wet, slippery roads and an increase in traffic incidents through Saturday night. Minor impacts are most likely for Monday/Tuesday, but there is still a small chance for heavier rain and more significant impacts.
