Fire Weather Concerns for the Plains and California; Snow for the Intermountain West

As a powerful Pacific system moves inland, accumulating snow for the higher terrain of the West and increasing winds will affect the central and western United States. These winds combining with dry fuels may allow any wildfires to spread quickly for portions of the Plains, including California.
