Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will occur this afternoon extending from the Southern Sierra across Central Nevada. The main impacts with storms that develop today will be gusty winds and lightning. Afternoon south or southwest winds gusting between 20 and 30 mph will be common across the rest of the region each day as temperatures gradually pull back to normal by Monday.
