High temperatures this weekend will reach into the triple digits across the region resulting in minor to moderate HeatRisk. If you are planning to be outside over the next several days, follow these tips to stay safe!
Wind gusts will continue to increase across the region through Monday. Expect gusts to reach 20-25 mph area-wide on Sunday, with stronger gusts up to 30-40 mph expected on Monday. These stronger winds could result in difficult driving conditions and patchy blowing dust.
The environment is dry and favorable for fire development and afternoon wind gusts can quickly lead to fires getting out of control. Please do your part and take steps to avoid creating a spark, especially in or near open desert.
