Areas of Excessive Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorm Potential Today

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast for much of the Eastern and Southern U.S. today. Isolated severe thunderstorms may produce large hail and damaging winds over eastern North Carolina and eastern Florida.
