Topics covered include cloud features, severe thunderstorm recognition, severe weather safety rules and reporting procedures. These sessions usually last around 90 minutes.

We are always interested in training new spotters, especially from areas outside of the Tucson Metro area, including communities in the following counties:

Cochise: Benson, Bowie, Douglas, Elfrida, McNeal, Saint David, San Simon and others.

Graham: Bylas, Calva, Fort Thomas, Pima, Safford and others.

Greenlee: Clifton, Duncan, Franklin, Morenci and others.

Pima: Ajo, Arivaca, Lukeville, Sasabe, the Tohono O'odham Nation and others.

Southeast Pinal: Dudleyville, Eloy, Kearny, Mammoth, Red Rock, San Manuel and others.

Santa Cruz: Amado, Canelo, Elgin, Nogales, Sonoita, Tubac and others.

Google Meet will be utilized for virtual training sessions. You do not need anything other than an electronic device with an internet connection and audio/video reception to participate. A microphone and webcam are NOT required since we will rely on chat for questions.

This is the Google Meet information for all virtual sessions. Please use this link and/or phone number to access the training on the date that you choose.    NO registration is necessary.
