Presidential Election Day weather for Tucson, Arizona
 
In 1845, Congress adopted a uniform day on which the States were to choose their electors. The day would be the Tuesday following the first Monday in November in years divisible by four.

2020 (November 3rd) - Strong high pressure over Arizona brought record to near record high temperatures to southeast Arizona. Tucson recorded a record high of 93°. Other locations recording a daily record high was Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument (96°), Ajo (96°), Green Valley (90°), Nogales (90°), Sasabe (89°), Sierra Vista (82°) & Bisbee (79°)
 
2016 (November 8th) - Breezy to windy day across southeast Arizona with afternoon easterly wind gusts mostly in the 30 to 45 mph range. Highs across southeast Arizona ranged from the lower 70s to the upper 80s while morning lows were mostly in the 40s and 50s.
 
2012 (November 6th) - Strong high pressure aloft over Arizona brought record to near record temperatures to southeast Arizona. Ajo (96°), Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument (94°) and Sierra Vista (85°) set a new record high for November 6th, while Tucson (90°) and Picacho Peak (90°) tied their November 6th record high. Highs across southeast Arizona ranged from the upper 70s to the mid 90s while morning lows ranged from the upper 30s to the mid 50s.
 
2008 (November 4th) - After a hot start to the month, cooler temperatures were across the area on ELECTION DAY as a weak weather system moved across the state. Highs across southeast Arizona ranged from the 70s to mid 80s while morning lows were in the 40s to upper 50s.
 
2004 (November 2nd) - The area was on the back side of a strong low pressure system that moved through the state on Halloween. This system brought much below normal temperatures to southeast Arizona on ELECTION DAY with morning lows in the 20s to lower 40s and daytime highs ranging from the upper 50s to lower 70s.
 
2000 (November 7th) - A strong upper level low pressure system moved through the state from the north and brought widespread precipitation to southeast Arizona. This system was cold enough to produce 1-3 inches of snow in the mountains of southeast Arizona. At the lower elevations, rainfall amounts from the 6th and 7th were generally between 0.50" and 1.50". High temperatures across southeast Arizona were rather cool with readings in the upper 40s to lower 60s. Morning lows were in the 30s to lower 40s.
 
1996 (November 5th) - Dry southwest flow aloft in advance of an approaching weather system brought near normal temperatures to the region on ELECTION DAY. High temperatures across southeast Arizona ranged from the upper 60s to upper 70s with morning lows generally in the 30s and 40s.
 
1992 (November 3rd) - Dry northwest flow aloft over the state with upper level high pressure off the California coast and a strong weather system through the central CONUS. High temperatures across southeast Arizona ranged from the upper 60s to near 80 with morning lows in the 40s and 50s.
 
1988 (November 8th) - a flat upper level ridge of high pressure brought warm temperatures to southeast Arizona. High temperatures were in the 70s to mid 80s with morning lows in the 40s to lower 60s.
