Warmer weather will prevail across the region with some lower 90s in the Inland Empire and mid to upper 90s in the lower deserts. High temperatures will be 10 to 18 degrees above normal in most areas.
Tuesday will be the hottest day this week (and so far this year too) in the deserts, with a few locations reaching 100 degrees. It will be slightly cooler west of the mountains though. High temperatures will be 10 to 18 degrees above normal inland but only around 5 degrees above normal near the coast.
More substantial cooling will occur Wednesday, especially west of the mountains. The cooling trend will continue Thursday and Friday.
