A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect till 1PM CDT this afternoon for the offshore waters of the Gulf (20-60nm). Winds will be out of the northeast 10-15 knots with seas between 5-8 feet.
Hazardous beach conditions are expected along the lower Texas coast today into Tuesday, with a High Risk of Rip Currents, High Surf Advisory, and a Coastal Flood Statement. Narrow beaches may become more narrow or impassable, with life-threatening surf conditions.
More clouds than sun today and cool. Highs will struggle to make it out of the 60s today especially over the Northern Ranchlands. Highs will be in the upper 60s to near 70F degrees along the Rio Grande Valley. Marine and coastal conditions will continue to improve today.
The best chance of showers and thunderstorms through the extended outlook remains Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with a dry and sunny start to the weekend and a warm and windy Sunday.
