NOAA Weather Radio Broadcasting Change Taking Place for Coastal/Offshore Waters Forecast
We will no longer be broadcasting the coastal waters and offshore water forecasts for the Wakefield, VA coastal area and the New York, NY coastal area on NOAA Weather Radio effective Monday Afternoon. We will still broadcast the coastal waters forecast and the offshore waters forecast for our region (Monmouth County NJ, Atlantic City, NJ and Lewis, DE coastal zones) generated at our office in Mount Holly, NJ. This is being done to reduce the cycle times of the broadcast on our coastal transmitters. This will allow you to hear current observations and other broadcast information in a quicker and more efficient manner while listening to NOAA Weather Radio. We hope this change brings an improvement to the broadcast, if you have any questions or concerns please contact Mitchell.Gaines@noaa.gov.
