Very warm temperatures, abundant moisture and a weak trough of low pressure resulted in the development of  thunderstorms over northeast Wisconsin Friday afternoon.  Those storms then organized and tracked south across southeast Wisconsin during the late afternoon and evening.  The PGA Championship being held at Whistling Straights golf course in Sheboygan county sustained damage to many of the event's temporary structures.  Many people saw a very angry looking sky as the storms arrived.  The leading shelf cloud was impressive.   Large hail, strong winds and sporadic tree damage were reported.  Given our very dry conditions lately, the rainfall was welcomed across the southeast, but south central areas unfortunately missed out on this round.

Below is the radar loop of the thunderstorm cluster as it began to move into Sheboygan county during the late afternoon, then exited to the south by early to mid evening.
