Excessive Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorms Threaten the Southern U.S. Again Friday

Heavy to excessive rainfall is forecast for eastern Louisiana into central Alabama which could bring flash, urban, and riverine flooding Friday. On May 2, 1997, Chevron Pipeline - Midland 4 ENE received the 50-Year Institutional Award. Mr. Ike Terrell, observer, received the award from Mr. Ray Fagen our MIC and Mr. John Frazar, HMT.

Several of Chevron Pipeline's operators/observers attended this ceremony. Cake, punch, and cookies brought a super end to this special event.

Chevron Pipeline has taken precipitation and temperature observations in east Midland for 50 years! We presented Chevron Pipeline a 25-Year Institutional Award in 1972!
