🥵 Heat impacts will increase across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi through the end of the week. 🌡️ Heat index values climb from the mid-upper 90s today to 100-105° by Friday. ⛈️ Only isolated to scattered afternoon storms expected. Stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities. 💧
We're monitoring a tropical wave in the northwest Caribbean Sea moving toward the the southwestern Gulf that has a low potential for development. Although it's not expected to impact our local area, continue to monitor the forecast for any changes.
