To the best of our knowledge, it is probably not possible to install new system software on the current STAR4 CPU.

2: Response
The VSAT antenna needed for the reception of ISCS data is manufactured by Prodelin. It is a C-band antenna and is sized with a diameter of 2.4 meters. The antenna uses a Baird non-penetrating mount.

3: Response
Issues related to workstation replacements for the Star4, and the readiness of ISCS workstation providers to supply equipment and software are best addressed by those providers. A listing of "known" workstation suppliers is available on the ISCS web page at www.nws.noaa.gov/iscs/workstationvendors.htm. All other workstation issues may be directed to the NOAA/NWS International Activities office.

4: Response
The ISCS network is based on the CCITT/ITU standard TCP/IP protocol. The ISCS WAFS broadcast will be an IP Multicast.
