May 6th bow echo

Storms first developed over Western Kansas during the afternoon hours of Tuesday May 6th. These storms intensified as they encountered better low level moisture over Central Kansas. Eventually the storms formed into a line of severe storms called a bow echo, which are known for producing severe straight line winds.
