Severe Thunderstorms and Excessive Rainfall in the Eastern U.S. Tuesday; Hot Weather for Southern California

Severe thunderstorms are likely across portions of the Mid-South, Tennessee Valley, and lower Ohio River Valley Tuesday, including damaging winds and tornadoes, a few of which could be strong. Heavy to excessive rainfall, which may lead to flooding, is expected over the lower Ohio Valley Tuesday. Severe weather is possible between 4pm Tuesday and Midnight Wednesday across the TN Valley. These storms will have the potential to produce damaging winds, a few tornadoes, and hail along with locally heavy rainfall and lightning. The Storm Prediction Center has put all of north Alabama in an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5). Stay weather aware and have a safety plan in place before the storms hit!
