Overview

A cluster of storms formed in the late afternoon of August 22, 2024 in eastern Colorado followed by a larger supercell in the early evening. The cluster of storms produced golf ball sized hail, two tornadoes that did not impact any structures, and straight-line winds of 110 MPH. The trailing supercell, when it collided with the tail end of the first cluster of storms, also produced straight-line winds around 105 MPH. Both straight-line wind events caused damage to structures and trees.
