Overview
Severe thunderstorms tracked southeast from northern Iowa into eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois late Saturday afternoon and evening. Torrential rain, frequent lightning, large hail up to quarters, and damaging winds were common. The strongest winds occurred in Buchanan and Delaware counties between 8pm and 11pm Saturday night. Rainfall totals over 2 inches were also reported in Buchanan, Benton, Iowa, Delaware, Linn, Johnson, and Cedar counties in Iowa, and Carroll county in Illinois. |
