NWS CID Transition Plan Appendix B - Compliance Coordination:

Data Management (DM) has implemented an ability to monitor for undefined products.  DM
will send messages to sites and regions notifying them of these products.  If known, DM will
provide the proper CID.  Otherwise, DM will work with the site and the region define/redefine
the product’s CID as needed either at the site or in the national file.  An example of coordination
message follows:

   From:  "NWS Data Management"
     To:  "Site CID Focal Points", "Regional CID Focal Points"
     CC:  Ncf <Ncf@noaa.gov>, TOC NWSTG <Toc.Nwstg@noaa.gov>, "Others if/as needed"



We are receiving messages from CCCC with WMO headings of TTAAii CCCC.
Please note the examples included below.

These WMO headings are not defined in the national product directory and as a result are
not being handled properly.  This may cause the products to not be disseminated to some
customers.

If these are legitimate official products please contact Data Management and your Regional
Focal Points so that any coordination or action needed to properly define these products
can be accomplished.

If these products are being misidentified when transmitted from your site it may be because 
the entry in your local a2a file is incorrect.  Please check and update it if necessary.  
If this does not resolve the problem or you feel there is some other cause which you can't 
correct please contact the NCF for assistance and let Data Management and your Regional 
Focal Point know.

If there is a local or inter-office need to transmit this product, each office has assigned 
to it WMO headings of the form NZUS01 CCCC through NZUS99 CCCC for work files or local 
files as needed.  I suspect the TTAAii CCCC WMO heading is entered in your local a2a file.  
Please use one of your NZUSii headings for this.  If you would like this NZUSii heading 
defined in the national a2a file as well, please let Data Management know.
