NWS CID Transition Plan Appendix A - Schedule:


Finalize all major aspects of transition plan - October 1, 2003:  Coordination and buy in by
all NWS stake holders.   

Release general notice - No later than September 19, 2003:  Synopsis of plan, schedule,
product categories in each phase, POC'sRelease Phase 1 detailed notice - March 18, 2004:  Phase 1 specifics including
product list

CID Coordination Call - March 10, 2004:  Approximately one week prior to Phase 1
detailed implementation notice release.  Additional calls as needed to support 
implementation.

Phase 1 implementation - Tuesday, June 15, 2004:  non aviation forecasts, tropical
cyclone products

Release Combined Phase detailed notice - July 01, 2004:  Combined Phase specifics
including product list

CID Coordination Call - July 20, 2004:  Approximately two weeks prior to Combined
Phase implementation.  Additional calls as needed to support implementation.

Combined Phase implementation - November 09, 2004:   

Alternate Combined Phase detailed notice - November 16, 2004:  Alt Combined Phase
specifics including product list

Note:  If there is any reason a phase implementation can't occur as scheduled, it will be slipped
one week.  Possible reasons for slippage include critical weather or some operational problem at
the NWSTG or one or more of the affected sites.  This decision will be made by DM and the
regional POC's
