Powerful Pacific System Impacting the West; First Significant Snow for Portions of the East

Power Pacific system will continue to bring significant impacts for Pacific Northwest into northern California the remainder of the week. Dangerous coastal affects, heavy rain, flooding, strong winds, and higher elevation mountain snow continues. Gusty Winds - Friday

Another low pressure system (not as strong as the system Tuesday/Wednesday) will track towards Western Washington Friday with two rounds of gusty winds. The first round early Friday morning will bring east winds in the Cascade Foothills and some of the Eastside Seattle suburbs. Another round of southerly winds will arrive Friday morning into the evening for most of Western Washington. The strongest winds will be along the Pacific Coast, Strait of Juan de Fuca and from Admiralty Inlet north to the Canadian border. Persons should secure loose items outside, and prepare for the potential for additional power outages.
